How Dream Data Is Stored

Lucidity is designed as a local-first application. Dreams are stored on your device and synchronized across your devices using encrypted cloud backups.

Before dream content leaves your device, it is encrypted and then stored on Lucidity's cloud infrastructure to enable synchronization, backup, and account recovery.

Dream content is not routinely accessed, read, or reviewed by Lucidity.

Cloud Services

Lucidity uses trusted third-party infrastructure providers to support authentication, storage, synchronization, notifications, and related services. These providers process data only as necessary to provide their services.

Security

Protecting dream privacy is a core design goal of Lucidity. We implement technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect user information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

No method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect user data.

Account Recovery

Users may recover access to their account using supported authentication methods such as email verification. Account recovery is designed to restore access to synchronized data without requiring users to manage encryption keys manually.

Data Export

Users may export their dream journal data using features provided within the app. Exported data is provided in a readable format for the user.

Account Deletion

Users may request deletion of their account and associated data through the app.

When an account is deleted:

Children's Privacy

Lucidity is not directed toward children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us and we will take reasonable steps to remove that information.
